Hello AM Lovers,
Some days ago I found an 'original' wire-antenna for the 11 meterband.
I have bought it many years ago.... but I never used it!

Now it is hanging under the roof upstairs.
SWR on +/- 29.050 nearly 1 : 1 (Inverted V).
This afternoon I did receive evenso with this antenne. Cheesy
First I heard many constesters on Ten, a pity!

But in the beginning of the afternoon, wintertime now...
I heard Chuck K1KW calling on 29010 in AM.
While he were calling I take a look to my S-meter (Yeasu FT 901).
I saw his signal comming up to S9 +5 and I note this on paper....
Later we had a qso and I must change the 5 into a 10 (S9 +10)!

After our nice AM qso I listen with the Yeasu FRG 7000.
I heard Chuck talking with Uncle Cor PA0AM from Holland.
Yes! evenso I heard Chuck with the INDOOR wire-antenna!
I made a short recording from Chuck, see below.

My friend FA3FKR tried (after Cor's qso) several times to K1KW to make a qso.
But Chuck did not heard him, ssb contesters blowing all away (I think!).

Thanks for our qso Chuck,

Henk, pe1mph

Amazing!! Chuck always dominates 10 meter AM here at my location when he's on.  I haven't been doing much transmitting but I still love to listen a lot.  I want to get some "glass" back on the air soon.

Yes indeed: Amazing!!!
When the conditions are a 'little' good on Ten...
There often 2 stations I hear in AM!

Larry (K1IED) & Chuck (K1KW)

Today I spoke with my friend Jappie (PA3FKR).
He told me:
'Henk, yesterday I thought first Chuck is in Holland, mobile near Dokkum.....
.... because I heard him very strong on my low hanging wire!'

I told him:
'No Jappie, I am sure Chuck were transmitting from his studio in the USA!
Because often I hear him with a big signal.....'

I hope to work both stations again on Ten! Cheesy

It's easy to see why:

Super antenna installation from Chuck!
Larry K1IED has evenso a good antenna!

If there are a little bit of conditions on Ten.
I can hear both!

Chuck & Larry have as well a good reception! Cheesy
