Good day -

I have a TMC #TU-50 antenna tuner which appears to be the major part of the TMC ATS-2 Antenna Tuner System.

However, the only manual I could find online names the tuner itself as a TU-2.

I'd appreciate any info that tells me the relationship of the TU-2 and the TU-50, or information on where I might buy a manual that deals with the TU-50.

Any other info on the matter would be appreciated.

Thanks much.

picture?

I know one of them for sure, it had a remote with a large dual meter, and the outside box had motors and stuff, intended for a medium length end fed wire, iirc.

Likely a great one to mod for other service - just looked at google, the images that came up look like the one I recall... or you could put it into ur van and run a vertical mobile! Cheesy

This is what it looks like::::::

I was given one of those and it was very heavy duty. The control ckts weren't operating or the control cable was not included. I forget.

Did you ever run up on the manual?  I have one I could copy if you still need it...  It's for the an/ura-27 tuner.

    Hey Al,

    Look here:

   http://www.virhistory.com/tmc/tmc_pages/tmc_manuals/tmc_commercial_manual_page.htm

The very first link under the "ATS Antenna Tuning Systems" banner.

Looks the same, the tu-50 is for for 50 ohm systems, the TU-70
is for 70 ohm systems. Both use the ATS-2 controller.

    NICE PIECE!!!!
