I have a large plate transformer that I took out of storage today.  It's tag says its a Stancor part # 52C046.   The secondary is center tapped, but unmarked. The primary says "117V 60cps with three studs marked 0, 2500, 2000.  It's has all the appearances of a plate transformer from an early BC-610.  Does anyone have the full spec on this iron?

There is also a stamp printed on it, "6 STC 45"

Thanks and 73,
Jim

Google Stancor part # 52C046
The first six listings should give you the info you need.

I generally boycott Google, but a few hours after I posted this I did in fact go there and confirmed that I have BC-610 plate iron.  Several other search engines and my Stancor catalog collection were not as useful.

Thanks,
Jim

The current ratings are for continuous use. I drew more like 800mA from one but that might be the 'IVS" rating for ssb.

Old iron!! Still you got a nice transformer there! It is listed in the catalogs on bunkerofdoom. I believe it is equivalent to the the P-9920 and cost $107 in 1948, $229 in 1955 with the warning 'part number to be removed from next catalog'. Farewell WWII iron design.

There is even a picture here: http://bunkerofdoom.com/xfm/STANCOR_140H_MAY1948_WEB/011.jpg

Note the official rating at 2500VDC output is 350mA CCS / 450mA ICAS, and at 2000VDC it is 500mA CCS and 625mA ICAS. So there is plenty of headroom as long as it is not abused.
