AM phone was very active over last winter, but now I have not seen any activity for several months.  Anyone still working AM phone on 15M?  Times?

Hi George,

I usually check the range between 21.420 - 4.445 around 10 AM (east coast time) each morning. You are right, it has been very quiet up there for the past month but now and then someone will come back to my CQ. About 2 weeks ago I could faintly hear a 7 station on 21.430 but since I was heading out the door I did not listen long enough to hear who he was chatting with. Based upon what I see up and down the 15 meter band, it looks like there is a lot of CW and SSB activity going on so my guess is that the band is open much more frequently than people think.

Keep calling CQ!

I check it whenever I'm mobile, and take pains to make a call if I don't hear anything. As noted, it is often busy down lower in the band, but not up in the AM activity area. We need to make noise to stir up some activity.

General rule for any band, but especially the higher bands, CALL CQ!
