Ahh, you noticed the hand on the shoulder on the upper LH as well. I didn't want to say anything.

So their bottom line is if you set antenna in the metro or by a power line, your signal will suck.

I always love the ones that show you not to use a radio in a ditch, under a  bridge, or inside a building.  Especially shown for the backpack [PRC- series and their predecessors] radios.  Of course they forget to tell you that the worst place to use the radio is also the only cover and/or concealment around.
