Removing a DX-100 VFO

Before I tackle this I figured I should see if there is an easier way to get this thing out without a Sawzall and prybar.

Neither range will calibrate to within 15kc end to end tracking which means a few fixed micas need replacing, and the dial drive pinch is slipping bad.

Other than that it finished and survived a good day of shakedowns on 75 to 15M AM. Worked to 7 land on 15 with a 40M inverted v.

Hi Carl,
            I have a couple sitting here in front of me about 1/4 way taken apart. 5 eyebolts total; two in the front and one each L, R, rear... kicker for the bandswitch on the bottom. It'd be a little easier to remove the front panel, but other than unsoldering a few wires, shouldn't be too bad.

I had it out by 11 AM after reading the manual a few times, getting a couple of corroded in place steel shafts into the couplers was the biggest PITA. Ive done several DX-100's over the years but the VFO removal was a first and a lot more complicated than it should have been but Im not going to fault Heath 56 years later. This is a 57 model the same as the first one I built at 16.
