On right now, hearing most but bad band conditions.

Long haul stuff (anything 2500 to 3000 or more miles away) seems to be blasting in. Conditions are good.

I heard Jim WD5JKO and answered him on 14.223 and 14.330 but no joy, he couldn't hear me. His audio sounded distorted for some reason.

Tim, WA1HYellarR was strong for about 10 minutes and then the band went through the floor.

Phil, sorry about not picking you up...I just did not hear you..

I was having problems with my Flex3000 reacting to a high RF environment. This all started after getting the GSB-201 amplifier in the chain. I finally made a big improvement by taking the twisted pair audio line into the rear Flex DB-9 connector, and running that line three time through a 1.5" long type 43 ferrite bead. My impedance meter showed that three turns through that bead had > 500 ohms from 80-20M. The raspy and peaked audio issue went away.

I ended up talking to Timtron from about 8:30PM to 10PM CDT with S9 + signals both ways. The band was completely quiet with no one in the pan adapter except for us.

I feel like I may be moved out of the Papa Whiskey category temporarily, on a trial basis.

Perhaps, but that inverted L ain't making it into central Texas. I noticed that the Tron heard you well, and no mention about a sock in your mouth. Good Job!

You may well be heard by the mid-Westerners and far-Westerners, but probably not us East Coasters.

Tonight, same Bat time, same Bat channel.

KLC, of course not. The whole of AMFone is angry with you. If you don't know why, then I'm not going to tell you anyway.

We have been meeting pretty regularly on 14330 every Monday evening around 6:30 pm cst. There are usually 5-6 stations, and sometimes coast to coast. I will not make it tonight, Aug 4th. Hope I can be back for the following Monday night.

If there are no storms in the area, I'll be on the air at about 7:30 EDT, 14.330 +/- a few.

Looks clear so far.....

Missed the last 2 weeks for various reasons.  Tonight looks like great conditions.

See y'all at 7:30 PM local time, or should I say "Hear y'all"?
