AM News: This afternoon I was listening to 80 mtrs.
I heard nothing on 3615 therefore I 'tuned up' to 3705 khz.
But.... I heard (again) AM on:
3660 khz. Some weeks ago I heard evenso AM on that freq.
I had no time to make a qso and sent sms to Henk:
PA2HVHe had a qso with a station from Norway in AM!
I tried today to make a qso with the AM stations on 3660 khz.
Only 1 (or 2) AM signals were strong by me: S9 +5
I give cq...... and again cq..... then...
One station comming for me on the band, his call:
LA2OLD Nostalgi Radio Club call, LA2OLD
Only for radios 25 year or older
Freq 3.660 + / - QRM Saturdays at 14.45NT
Norway
Above info you can find on:
www.qrz.comHis qth above Oslo.... thats far away..... and he could speak a little English!
He told me:
I am his first AM station, who is not in Norway!I used my old Allbander, Yeasu FT 901 DM
Running only +/- 25 Watts into the horizontale dipole +/- 2x 25 mtrs long.
I found evenso this info:
http://www.hamradio.no/la2old/But we had not a long qso, there were more stations on 3660 khz.
Sorry... others very, very weak for me.
I recorded 2x LA2OLD from the webreceiver Zwolle (middle of The Netherlands)
http://onlinereceivers.netOfcourse I have sent LA2OLD an email and I hope to get more info about AM in Norway.
Oh by the way, he told me: every Saturday afternoon they are on 3660 in AM and SSB.
I think it must be some 'technical net'....
I am 'thinking', because most I could NOT understand.... Most in Norwegian language
Nice to know there is more AM on 80 meters!

Henk
