Saw this interesting vertical antenna ground article and thought some of you would like to read it.

This is exactly what I and K7ER (SK) proved years ago, along with the fact that the BW goes up and is much easier to match across your particular band with 16 radials. 

The reactance plotted against frequency is much flatter with 16 radials.

It has also been discussed considerably since that article and proven that 40M ground conditions are not very comparable to 80 and are far different than 160. Also note that many other discusions use  mS/m, especially the FCC benchmark and the rest of the world regulating and standards bodies and are standardized to 1 mHz.
