Has anyone experimented with electroluminescent wire, ribbon, or sheet as 'mood lighting' in their RF deck?

seems it would be easy to power.

That looks like some neat stuff there.  I use bulbs with Bulb condoms from an online pinball store.  I have had bad luck with LEDs.  They seem to burn out early.

My first thought about the EL would be RF hash out of that inverter.
