Annual ARRL DX Phone Contest - Tickle those DX stations with some good old AM.
W/VE stations send signal report and state or province. Signal report default is 5-9.
W/VE stations are those operating in the following locations: The United States and the District of Columbia with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii.
If your call starts with any other letter then "W", you should state it with a W-type sound.
Anyway, lots of fun if you like working lots of DX; there will be plenty of it on all bands; and like making QSO's that generally last 20 seconds or less.
