Got a Dx60B this week. I think I have everything working now and would like to do an on the air test. I have only one crystal in a reasonable section of 40M  7145. This evening or tomorrow, if possible. I will be checking freq on the hour as long as I am home.

Okay, sounds like a plan... IF THE SSBers will leave you a hole.!! I'll be listening when I think about it on the hour and throwing CQ is clear.

Thanks John. I will give it a shot at next hour , that is 10 PM here.Then off to bed but will try again tomorrrow.

The sideband was horrendous around 7.140... I did move to 7.160 when I found it clear and called CQ and made a few AM contacts... 3 of them were on Flex 3000s and when they set their audio level with my help, they sounded excellent.  (I didn't go into equalization and all that just gain level so, one was set way low and two others were set too high).

it is quiet now!
It is the only rock I have for the rig that is on the phone section of the band. I do have a old signal gen down stairs. Later I may put a plug on it and use it as a VFO. If I like it I may build one for it.

WIll be giving it a shot (7145) this morning on the hour and half hour from now till 9 am
It is currently 7:47 am here.
