Cornditions are poor, but let's see what happens.

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Very dead 10M band this afternoon between 2-3PM east coast.   Heard two stations on ssb and then heard Joe/ WA1BWO out in Idaho on AM!   Otherwise the AM part had little activity.

After a few CQ's found a few guys out west.  Propagation seems selective today.

Tested the new amp for the first time on the air.  Seems to run FB.

Maybe better cornditions tmw.

Happy New Year, everyone!

I was on 29020 a litte later. Had a nice convo with K0ETD, Ron in Tucson, AZ.

There were several very loud, (5/9 plus 10-20db) SSB stations in the 28400 to 28500 range out of the west and midwest in the later afternoon. Cornditions must have been decent, but not much heard in the AM segment.

Band was open a bit to Europe this morning. Worked several stations on AM. Seemed to be decent activity down in the SSB section. This afternoon (around 4PM)  heard a station in Utah working WB3FAU, and several stations in CA. Didn't hear what they were working but the Utah station said lots of activity between his area and the central states. SSB section, as least looking at the Flex display, showed a number of strong stations. Even 6 was open today.
