Here's something you don't see too often on 75 meters at 3:45 pm on a weekday. As I was chatting with Chuck W3FJJ on 3870 today I could see 5 different AM conversations taking place on 3814, 3853, 3870, 3877, and 3887. The sea of AM carriers outnumbered the SSB contacts in the panadapter by 5 to 3. In spite of my presence on 3870, official government statistics indicate that the average intelligence on the band at that time was 41% higher than normal.

You should have seen the screen last month when we had all the 10 meter AM openings. I thought I stepped back to the early 60's.

Good info.  I have noticed that we have spread out lately again.  I have been known to be on around 3650 or so at times.

Nice!

I've noticed an overall increase in AM signals spread out across the entire 75/AM band, from 3.885 down to 3.685 and below. Most nights there are now 4-5 distinctive groups between there.

TNX for posting this, Rob. Santa didn't bring me an old buzzard panadaptor this year. Just a note saying something about it being too damned heavy, reindeer are getting old, it's hard to find good help, etc...  Grin
