Gary is back on the air with some hardware from the estate of our friend Dave, K3ZRF.

A number of us went to Philadelphia this past weekend to see a display of a butterfly collection a young Dave put together in 1960-61. The curator who gave us a tour said it was remarkable the degree of detail and the professional standards of display Dave put into the project.

Here are the original wooden cases with glass tops, the pins, the labels and the bugs.  The trays have been accepted as part of the Academy of Natural Sciences, a Drexel University function that turns 200 years old in 2012. Quite an honor to be included in an internationally recognized research institute.
