I missed the group on 3705. But I tuned around much later, maybe 0700Z. I could hear a French AM group on 3550 quite well. If I spoke French I would have easily been able to follow the conversation.

Hello Steve!
No I heard them not on 3705 but on 3710.
By me in 'the middle of the night'... Grin

Yes later this morning I heard the French AM Lovers on 3550.
Every morning (by us) they are qrv on that freq.
A pity most French would not speek English!! Grin

Listening on 3710 now, all I can hear is some Russian slopbucketeers.  CHU on 3330 isn't coming in too well this AM so it's doubtful I'll hear anything before the sun rises from the States.

Hello AM Lovers,

This morning I heard AM from the USA on 3705 khz.
But very difficult for me to copy.
Many splattering from 3703 khz, Germans in ssb.
Sometimes I heard Jean 'breaking in'......
So I wait if he could get contact with them. Smiley

And YES! the heard him in qso with the AM stations from the USA.
I were happy Jean ask them to qsy.... to 3710 khz.
Because that freq. were clean.....

Jean were talking and I were waiting.....
But a pity.... some Eastern ssb's came near/on the freq...

Here the results:
- F6AQK Jean, max. S9, good audio
- K4HX Steve, max. S6, clear audio
- K1KAQ Todd, max. S4, only some words I heard

Steve, you had very good audio, sounding good!
A pity I could not hear all.... splatters from ssb.
Todd, your audio sounding a little dark.
So, sorry, from you I could only hear some words...

And I have no idea 'how good or bad' you heard PE1MPH. Smiley
I am sure I could hear you both loud & clear when no SSB were on freq.

Thats all happening this morning between 06.10 - 06.35 hour by me. Grin

Henk:

I was able to receive you nearly 100% despite the very strong QRN. Without the QRN, you would have been easy copy. Attached is a recording of your signal.

Hope to hear you again under better conditions.

Thanks for the recording,

Hello AM Lovers,

Today the last day from 2011.
And good conditions this morning on 80 mtrs.
I heard AM from the USA on: 3705 and 3885.

And on 3710 khz (+/- 06.20 by me)  I worked this stations:
- F6AQK, Jean, max. S9 +25, good audio
- 9H1ES, Fortunato, max. S7, many fading
- PA3HCO, Jan, max. S2, his signal 'hopping' over me
- K4HX, Steve, max. S8, good audio

Most of the time 3710 were 'ssb-free'.....
So we had a nice qso this last day from 2011 in AM. Smiley

Very good conditions last night Henk! Good to hear you and Happy New Year. My reports below.

F6AQK       59
PE1MPH     58
PA3HCO     58     BC-610
9H1ES       35

All were good copy except for Fortunato. I was only getting bits and pieces. He usually has a better signal than this, so maybe he was running a different antenna or transmitter.

My take on that is they'd rather us English speekers try to use French, even if we do it badly. Many French do speak English as a second or third but its no lie that French is beloved!

Steve, what do you use for transmitting? If you are making it all the way to the beautiful Netherlands, you must be doing it right.

Thanks Steve for 'breaking in' on 3710.
But I heard: Fortunato gives you low S-points.
Maybe between you and him, today no good conditions?

And you Steve, 'compliments' for your audio.
Jan (PA3HCO) phoned me today and he were agree with that! Smiley

Till a next time on +/- 3710 khz in AM.

Have all a GOOD 2012,
