For Sale are (2) Supreme AF-100 transmitters. These transmitters were produced sometime around 1947 - 1948. They used a 3D23 final, 807 modulators and have a self contained VFO. The tank is link coupled and uses standard B&W coils. Transmitter #1 apparently had suffered modulation and power transformer failure as they both were replaced by poorly installed similar iron. Someone in transmitter #1's past apparently could not find a final for it, so they decided to modify it to accept an 813. They increased the size of the original final chassis opening (socket mounted below top of chassis) in order to accommodate the 813. The cabinet has recently been professionally power coated to a color very close to original. Transmitter #1 has the best front panel of both and unless you are wanting a museum piece, should look great with the restored cabinet. Transmitter #2 is completely original and unmodified except for an easily reversible mod done to make the tank coils easier to change. The cabinet and face plate are not as nice as #1, although not at all poor either. Included with the transmitters are: (2) original manuals; (1) reproduction manual; (4) really nice B&W coils for 10, 20, 40 and 80 meters; (1) decent B&W 20 meter tank coil; (10) new 3D23 finals. Restoration does not look at all formidable as there is lots of room inside these beasts to work and most of the filter capacitors are oil. With a little work, transmitter #1 would make an ideal candidate to modify just a little more, running an 813/811 combo; Transmitter #2 would make an ideal very rare show piece for your collection. $850 takes both transmitters and associated parts. Pick-up in Wilmington, NC. No shipping unless you arrange it yourself, all at your own risk. Photos available upon request. e-mail  able easy four easy nancy @ att.net
