About a year ago or so, I visited a radio station, WTKY-AM & FM in Tompkinsville, KY.  The owners had passed away and the Brother in Law of one of the owners (a husband & wife) had taken over the stations.  The station had a room full of old Gates equipment.  I saw a nice big Gates Console back there.  There is a 2500 watt, McMartin AM Transmitter too!  Gee, there was no telling how much good stuff to you guys they had in that big room!

I have RSD and I have no use for big stuff, just the new gear on the market.

I don't know if the old gear is still there or not.  Their phone number is (270) 487-6119.  At the time I talked to the Brother in Law, he wasn't ready to sell or give away anything, but things could have changed now.  This is just a lead to some vintage gear.  I don't know if the stuff is still there anymore, but it would not hurt to call and ask.
