I just got a pretty nice RBC-4 receiver and the AC supply for it, including the cable between them.

The only kluge I can see right off is a Coax fitting for the antenna (fine with me) and a couple of diodes in place of the Amperite 6-8B ballast tube.

I'm looking for a manual and, of course, the ballast tube or a reasonable idea to replace it. The ballast tube socket is still fine; the kluge fix used a 4 pin tube base to plug into the receiver.

I'm going to install a grounded power plug.

Any advice on this thing?

By the way Patrick, this is the unit you posted a link to a couple of months ago on Craig's list in St. Louis, the seller dropped it off at my sister's place in St. Louis and she just hauled it up here to Minneapolis.
