I recently acquired a  NC-300 at an estate sale, checked it out and found it to be in generally good operating condition. This is a double conversion, ham-band only receiver. Front panel, knobs, drum frequency readout in good shape. I’ve listened to 75m AM and a lot of 40 and 20M SSB with it, and I think this receiver performs just about as well as my Collins 75A3 with the mechanical filters. The NC 300 has a fantastic crystal filter, and also three positions of IF bandwidth. I am at present working on a tuning problem, unit will be available as soon as I can remove the front panel and correct what I am sure is a minor problem. Asking $200, payment USPS money order or cash, but NO shipping. I can meet within a reasonable distance of northwest NJ, but I’d much rather a buyer comes to my house and sees the receiver in operation.    Also coming shortly from the same sale are a Heath Apache TX-1 transmitter ($200), a Hammarlund HQ 170 ($225), Heath HO-10 monitor scope ($100) and a Hallicrafters SX-25 ($150) in nice physical shape, needs re-capping.  Let me know if there is any interest in any of these. Call me at 908 362 8502 evenings, or e-mail lawshd at blair dot edu.
