I feel like we should send him a card or something to the hospital.  Does anyone have any ideas?   I would be happy to shell out the bucks.

And then there's this on Derb's Blog.

He would really appreciate hearing from his friends. Anyone who wants his address and phone number can email this address:

n3drb@comcast.net

I don`t know if it would be a good idea or not to post his contact  info here, so just email and let me know who you are and I`ll give you the info.

Ok, I said I wasn`t going to do a lot of updates here, but this news is just too damn good NOT to share!!!  Cheesy

Yesterday afternoon, Tim`s doc told him that after reviewing his new MRI films, the spot on his brain that the docs here thought was new cancer growth is NOT cancer after all, but it is necrosis, or dead brain tissue, from all the treatments he`s had in the past. While dead brain tissue certainly isn`t a good thing, it`s a whole heck of a lot better than new cancer growing, and Tim was very relieved to hear the news. Turns out that the MRI they have in Roanoke is more advanced than the one they have here in Martinsburg, and the doc said it`s like looking at an MRI in HD. The old films weren`t distinguishable as not being cancer, so the mistake was understandable, but still very troubling for us, never the less.....
From now on, whenever Tim needs an MRI, we`ll make the 3 hour trip to Roanoke.
He still has some issues with seizure activity and the use of his left hand, (which has diminished greatly since his recent seizure), so the docs are getting together today and deciding on a course of treatment for those things.
So things are looking up, it seems.  Finally.

That news is FANTASTIC! I had been reading all the bad news this morning from the BP spill to the mid-east turmoil. Then while feeling really down I started reading the news about Derb. I was feeling lower as I read. Then. the post about the findings that the spot was just necrosis and not cancer! That erased all the bad news of the day. What great news! Wow!  Smiley

Great news, OM!!

Nothing like a false alarm to make us appreciate the good things we presently have.

Okay I'm trying to keep track of the plot developments here.

So let me get this right, Derb broke his ankle, that's bad, right ?

NO THAT's GOOD

Huh?

Well, if he hadn't a broke his ankle we wouldn't know the cancer's remissed.

That's good ?

THAT'S WAY GOOD
