speaking of arcing, a guy from Czech repbublic who used to clandestinely build replica marshall amps behind the iron curtain used EL34/6CA7 with 800V on them and had to use ceramic sockets to prevent arcs.

The CE100V/200V didnt have 6550 socket arcing that Im aware of. They did have rectifier socket arcing for the 6AU4's. I replaced those with NOS mil surplus ceramic.
