In the process of trying to fix my VFO on my Champion, the VFO lamp when out.  This lamp is an odd size to me.  Its about 5 to 6 inches long,  Threaded end. Smaller then household but not small like a lamp for a Fan or fixture in your house.   No idea of the wattage.. Its not listed.  Only a WRL part number.

Any idea what my options are?

Here is a picture of the lamp above the VFO box.

Those things are called "Appliance Bulbs" and are available at your local Walmart.  They range in size from ~15 watts to near 40.  T6 @ 25 Watts is largest you should use because of heat.  Lower wattage is preferable  if you can find them.

Dennis, Your a life saver man!    I want to put the champ back in service and the bulb will be the final part.  When you comming by today?   I have to go tune a race car on the dyno at noon. But will be back after that.
