I was going to ask for a picture of the rear of the scope for a slightly different reason.
What other connectors are on the back? Are there any direct connections to the CRT deflection plates?
No, only front commands and ac-dc inputs
If no connections other than the power line feed then the scope is a basic, pretty elementary scope, one step up from home brew.
I think so relevant to continuosly uncal sweep rate control :-(
It should be fairly simple to trouble shoot starting with the CRT.
Does the filament in it work? Does the HV power supply work? etc.
Yes, all voltages now are present ...only a little fuse on ac line !
HV is probably around 1500 volts at 2 to 5 ma. Another supply for the amplifier and sweep circuits, etc.
.......after switchs deox and trimmers retouch now is well dc balanced and synch frequencies up to .........170 Khz from 2-300 mV !!!!!! It's an old Computer Oscope born before logic analyzer era ------
