CW is just a narrower version of AM

« on: October 19, 2009, 07:25:55 PM »

I usually show a picture of my Nearfest haul along with how much cash outlay was involved.

This time I wanted to put a little spin on it by leaving out the cost. I have sent an itemized list to Gary, our moderator and grand AM Forum facilitator, along with the actual total. He has agreed to moderate this contest and he and only he will ultimately select the winner based on the closest guess to my real outlay. In the event of a tie, the first correct (or closest) guess submitted in to the forum, and you are only allowed one guess, will be the winner of one of the shiny Velvet Verniers.

I will ship the Velvet Vernier to you at no cost. Personally I am hoping for a Japanese winner. You must be a member of the AM Forum to win.

The contest entries must cease at 00:00 GMT London Time on Wednesday - check your World time clock above accordingly.

What do I do post it up here? Or?

EDIT: ok, I say $6.00 even, but a bit depends on how many tables it came from...

Most of the items are pretty straightforward but have a question about the bagged item. It's hard to tell but is that by chance an Automatic Metal Products female BNC to male mini BNC (ala R-390A) adapter...or is it something else?

Thanks for the fun!

Looks like $22.25 to me Mike, but I'm lousy at bargaining...

Hi Mike,

Yes, Nearfest was a blast. It went by so quickly.

I usually make a list of stuff I want to find and as usual, it was a clean sweep. Found a TEK 2213 scope, HP 606A sig gen, 48V 34A suppy, relays, timers, dykes, (blonde and redhead) RG-58/U jumpers, etc.  Everything I needed.

** After adding up your stuff, I get $36.25 total. ***       I'm using prices that I've personally paid for stuff like that, so we'll see.

Thanks for the post!

BTW, I have a few things from Nearfest along wid some pics Todd and Steve took that we'll post when we all recover tmw... Grin

Just my SWAG.
