I was wondering while playing with this little Vik I messenger bringing it up to 29 Mc's just where appropriately a good tap in port for a receive meter would be. first stage RF amp is a 6BJ6 next is 1 mixer it's a 12BE6 an 1 IF Amp 6BJ6.

Still suffering the last of the chemo treatments, but feeling like working again a little I can handle this much work any help would be much obliged. Smiley

You could put it in the cathode of the last IF amp, with some way to zero it, or sample the avc line into a balanced setup using a 12au7 tube.

I do the avc sample method, the Bill Orr book had a good circuit I used, its got balance and sensitivity adjustments  ...

Thanks for the reply Brett, I was thinking along the lines of a coupla diodes and a pot to get the zeroing off the AVC and Squelch circuits.

I'll have to check Bills Circuit out I didn't think of his mastery at the time.

Ah the fun in homebrewing  Smiley
