I have done the W3SCC mod to my apache to improve audio.  The question I have is: What is the prupose of the 0.001uf/2KV cap across the secondary of the modulation transformer?  I do not have one of these in the junque box and want to know what effect that will have

thanks

It is ok to string a few in series to get the requisite breakdown voltage. The value is approximate, not a high tolerance thing at all.
