Nope, no opt out ....

You need to "customize" it all over again........

I think there was an opt-out button for  a while .... but it goes away after x amount of time.

Same with the "new search experience".....

From the FAQ botton on "my ebay "  page

""The new My eBay, currently called My eBay Preview, will become the only version of My eBay available in the new year.

From May through October, 2008, the My eBay team solicited feedback about the new My eBay, which was in beta at that time. Many of you gave us specific product-related requests and feedback about the new My eBay (thank you!). As a result, we iterated on the design and features. We are now ready to retire the old version. On Tuesday, January 20, 2009, the new My eBay will be the only version of My eBay available.""

They messed me up also. Then I found you have to sign in to get to your  page. Then just look down the left side. Yup too many people with nothing to do changing stuff that worked fine.

Yeah I'm feeling like a cranky old buzzard tonight and this was just a piece of it.
They offered that up several months ago and I opted out. Now its back. I don't feel like spending time figuring out how to make it work, I was fine with the way it was.
maybe it is a sign that it is time to give up on epay

The other thing that has been ticking me off is the little pop up I get every several weeks on my favorite searches asking me if I want to get an email telling me when something I am l;ooking for has been listed.
"NO DAMN IT!" I have said no at least 20 times. Yet it comes back again

I don't bother with saved-searches, or any of that other crap, ... So it made no difference to me.

If I'm looking for something, I type it in.
If I sell something, I list it...

The only time I go to "my ebay" is to pay my seller fees, and to leave feedback.. that's it.

I hereby second the "old buzzard" feeling. I had my home page all set up. My searches are set to find only what I really want, and exclude the junk! (CB, spy gear, etc) I also only search north american sales. That eliminates a lot of hongkong junk.
Oh, well....
I did find out how to put the searches back on the summary page. But, it is a tiny drop down, then preveiws "best match" HA!! You then have to click on the show all results button.

I agree whole-heartedly with the BUZZARD rant!  They keep changing things, just for the sake of change.  It used to be much easier to find things and use the services, but they keep messing with it, even though it worked fine before.  They also have made it more difficult for bidders to pay for items, restricting (or trying to restrict) everything to PayPal.  PayPal is OK, I guess, but you shouldn't be forced to use it.  It just results in higher costs for sellers and resulting higher expected prices to cover the overhead.

The problem is that we radio enthusiasts are such a small percentage of the total audience, what we want is totally ignored.  I think they are going down the drain anyway.  I hope some alternative auction sites crank-up and give them some real competition.  Trouble is...now they are the most well known and attract the greatest number of sellers and bidders.
