 On my panels as i install them with the neoprene shaft insulators, the felt pads for behind the knobs where can i find those...rat shak have them...?

Go to your nearest sewing/material store and buy a yard of green, brown or black felt (your choice.)

 Use a 1/4 inch ticket punch on the whole yard square 'blank' on one inch centers and cut a jillion (well ok, 1225 +/-) one inch circles with a pair of scissors.  Sell on Epay for $1.00 each.

If you don't want to go in business just cut a few from scrap felt.

Btw, I heard that NAPA sells a spray can self etching primer for aluminum... was gonna check that out myself...

Neoprene shaft insulators? Neoprene is a rubber like material... do you mean shaft couplers or shaft bearings?? Maybe we're getting semantically confuserred?

 Bear, on anything i build i like to have some type of insulation between any movable control surface an opening on the front cabinetry and i use those neoprene bushings at the hardware store that have that edge on them that lands on the front of the  cabinet when you push them on..

I use neoprene chassis grommets that I slice in half as shaft bearings in wooden radio restorations. Then use the felt. Just like grandpa's Philco.

For metal panels its hard to beat the brass panel bearings that are still in production.
