Those 3 IF stages sure help but that is the only radio Ive seen that uses a power pentode in an IF stage. Guess it doesnt overload Smiley Im surprised the 20M MDS is that good, thats better than many riceboxes. It says something about Hammarlunds skill in minimizing circuit losses considering the tubes used.

My HQ-120X gets cycled into service along with the others that can actually be used on the bands.
