Hello group, been working to restore a GK400B and just picked up a 400C as far as I can tell.  I have 2 questions, the 400C has the couplates installed on the mod deck, I have read that to improve audio response most have elected to take them out...so are they simply snipped out or is there a mod that replaces the resisotor and caps that are in the couplate?

Also.. the 400C mod deck has one less audio tube than the 400B modulator - also different tubes, anyone know what Leo was doing here?  hi hi   Thanks ... Great group here, I listen on 3885 all the time but waiting to get one of these babies on the air.
