Lost WiFi

My Wireless Router (Perhaps the modem) goes into a coma every time I key up the HB 813 rig.  Anyone else experience this?

The authors of the Senate bill, Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC), sent out a joint press announcement explaining the rationale as part of a modernization process that will no longer sanction unlicensed frequencies due to interference issues and market confusion. "

You might have to go back to old school basics as in TVI prevention. Check your grounds and install a low pass filter on the 813 rig for starters. Maybe change the location of the router and isolate it from the ac system.-.-.-

I wired the house with shielded CAT 5 because I didn't want to listen to another wireless device. The FCC compliant  computers are bad enough without spraying the surrounding area with wifi.

Not sure what your config is, but you might want to check your CAT 5 cables between devices, esp into your WIFI router. Most cheap CAT5 cable is nonshielded, just 8 wires in a bundle. You can replace this with shielded (foil) or even foil+braid shielded cable at a considerable expense. The foil stuff may be enough. There are fancy RJ45 connectors that are metallic to clamp the shield into, but you can also do it crudely by just fanning out the shield and connecting a ground strap there. Best that it be a real ground for RF, similar to what we used to have to worry about for TVI and RFI into stereos, phones, etc.

Standard RFI practices still work.
