I have a collection of moulded mica Cornell-Dublier and Sangamo A2 type caps with the brass threaded inserts. Of course none of them have any screws to go with them - well apart from one with one snapped off in it! . What type of thread are they? A quick junk box search resulted in nothing that fit . The closest seems to be a 5/32 Whitworth..

All caps like those I have used are 6/32.
