If I was going to buy 1 crystal for 75/80 AM operation, what is the frequency to get?

If you were going to have to limit yourself to 1 channel crapstal control, it would have to be 3.885Mhz with 3.880 being a second choice.

I would consider looking for or building a VFO a much more viable option these days with AM activity now being scattered all over the lower part of the 3700's and even below. Try not to limit yourself if at all possible.
