The fun of modulating it will have to wait until late fall when I dig into it again. The PTT system actually comes next then I will work on the modulator. Here is one last shot before I put it under the bench. Note the new rectifier and PTT relay. I also have a fan over the cage which comes on when the plate switch is thrown.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

You must of found a fan that didn't have typical height. All the ones I have were just too tall to be mounted on the top of the final cage and still be able to slide everything into the cabinet. I'm not sure why you wired the fan to the plate switch operation. Heat is still generated (with just the filaments lit) in the final cage. And, do you have the fan positioned for "blow in" or "suck out" operation?

Hi Pete,

Yes the fan is thinner than a full size boxer. It is larger than the fan used on PC power supplies however and is 117 VAC and quiet. I have it pulling air up out of the cage. Dunno if it does anything because I have zero hours on this thing.
