Title: Getting More Power Out of an SWR Meter..
Post by: n3lrx on November 27, 2006, 01:45:00 AM
I have me one of them there 10-4 Good Buddy SWeR Meters Come On..

It's a Midland, but it's the same one I've seen in the same package with at least 20 names. Laffayete, Cobra, Uniden, Etc. Anyway, It's a 10/100W meter what would I need to do in order to change full scale readings from 100 to 1000? Is it as simple as changing resistor values or is there more to it than that? The current meter in it is a 100ua full scale. The meter is a bit small, but it will have to do for now.

It reads SWR, Power, Mod, and Field Strength, with a Calibration adjustment.

Allot of people are doing that now.. I've seen things go for $0.99, buy now! But the shipping costs $20! They do that because eBay taps you for a commission on the sale price not the shipping! Soon enough eBay will get wind of it..
