Title: ARRL Granted Experimental License - Several AM Operators Involved
Post by: Pete, WA2CWA on September 15, 2006, 03:01:47 PM
NEWINGTON, CT, Sep 15, 2006 -- The FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology has granted a Part 5 experimental license to the ARRL on behalf of a group of radio amateurs interested in investigating spectrum in the vicinity of 500 kHz. Experimental license WD2XSH was issued September 13. The two-year authorization permits experimentation and research between 505 and 510 kHz (600 meters) using narrowband modes (PSK31 and CW) at power levels of up to 20 W effective radiated power (ERP)...

Wow! Cool. I see a few familiar call signs: KW1I, W1NZR and W2ILA. Those AMers are everywhere!

That said, I must conclude that the ARRL sucks. I hate it. They are idiots. QST sucks too. I wouldn't line the bottom of my bird's cage with it (if I had one, been thinking of getting one just so I can do it). They're all evil. The world is soon going to end.

Have a nice day.

You missed K2ORS and WB2FCN and W5TVW are also members of the AM Forum. I didn't check all the rest of the calls.
