Thanks Joe,
Part of a Buzzardly purchase off of the Bay. It is a Vfo with a 6AG7 running a 8929B. It will supply the platofr and other parts for the 813 rig

Carl,
It looks "Superb"! Please let me know the tube lineup and I'll see if I can find the construction article for it. Between the two of us, we should be able to find it!

I'd guestimate that the rig was built right after WWII, probably 1946/47/48 due to the availability of the 829B. It is probably good for about 60-75 watts output depending on the plate voltage applied to it.

Keep me abreast of the other one as well I hope you get it. It'll be good to see two transmitters going to a good home!

Now you'll have some other "toys" to mate to that HB superhet SO WE CAN ALL HEAR YOU ON THE AIR!!!

Very Best Regards,

Carl,
BTW, The Stancor "440" modulator was in their 1940 or/and 1941 catalog. We need to find you a matching RF deck for it. In the meanwhile, it'll most likely do yeoman duty where it's currently at!

Yeah it uses 3- 6AG7s to the 829B
VFO is only marked for 10 meters and there arte three plug in coils plus one for the Tank.

I have a larger PS and my thought would be to use the basic framework for the 813 rig, putting the 813 where the 829 is and making other appropriate changes.

For the mod I am planning on replaceing the large PS caps, SS the recitfiers and replaceing the  output xfrmr making the basic 6l6 amp into ad river for my 811,s and putting the larger mod iron and 2-811s ointo that Stancor deck.

Anyway that is the dream now
