Here is a link to detailed, step by step instructions on how to modify a Kenwood TS-850 for hifi AM transmit and receive. I have performed this modification on my own TS-850 and it works beautifully! The modification will make your TS-850 sound just as good as the best plate modulated or Class E AM transmitter.
