Title: George, W1GAC
Post by: WA3VJB on December 27, 2005, 09:53:26 AM
I am happy to report a license renewal for "Old Buzzard George," W1GAC.

He has had some health setbacks during the year just ended, but we wish him the best of health and happiness in 2006 and beyond.

A guy like this has to look adversity right in the eye.

George becomes the first person I know who will be 100 years old when his license is next up for renewal, in 2015.

My warm thoughts are with you my friend.

To others, if you have not yet had the good fortune of working him at his station in Framingham, please take a moment to listen.

De W2PFY @ KC2IFR's QTH I was net control for the Old Buzzards net on December 24. It was a lot of fun. I would like to encourage more people to who are in the N.E. area to join in at 10:00 AM on 3.945 to keep this very old net going. For the most part there are no slop buckets crowning the frequency.  It’s on 7 day per week.

And indeed, Terry did a fine job as net control!

Tnx for the pictuer of Geoge's "Shack"! I have worked him on his homebrew rig!
