Title: converting 300J and 20v's to 160
Post by: W2INR on December 10, 2005, 05:52:42 AM
Good morning.

Trying to not reinvent the wheel, I am looking for info to convert the plug in TU's to 160.

I was hoping someone has the wire, turns and capacitance changes needed.

Thanks

Hi Gary,

Did you see the series of articles in ER from Sept-Dec by Dave, W2DK? He has outlined in a fair amount of detail, things to do to move these rigs to the ham bands. Each month was devoted to a different mfr.

I can help you with a Bauer or CCA but haven't worked on the ones you mention.
