Title: 40 meter driven array Post by: W1IA on October 23, 2005, 11:18:54 AM I was chatting with Tom K3MRG and he directed me to an outstanding article covering driven arrays.

That system is exactly what G/INR is doing on 75M with the exception of the last piece of double matching coax to go from 25 to 50 ohms. I like the suggestion of making the elements 1.4% shorter to compenmsate for mutual coupling. Never saw that suggestion before. This is a great system which is all driven - perfect if it is going to be less than 3/8 wave above ground for a given band. Hope you try it for the DX window, OM. T |
