Title: need info on screwdriver ants Post by: Art on September 09, 2005, 07:59:26 PM I am preparing to go to the hurricane area to work with the Salvation Army. Does anyone have information/experience on the most reliable screwdriver type antenna? A fast response would be appreciated as I will be ordering the ant for next day delivery to get under way Tue or Wed . . . .
Thanks, Art Title: Re: need info on screwdriver ants Post by: kc2ifr on September 10, 2005, 06:22:16 AM Art,
Tarheel antennas seem to get rave reviews. I have talked to a few ppl using them and they love em. http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/1953 Title: Re: need info on screwdriver ants Post by: Art on September 10, 2005, 06:51:49 AM Thanks Bill . . .
Title: Re: need info on screwdriver ants Post by: KE1GF on September 10, 2005, 11:48:58 AM Art, I've got a High-Sierra HS-1800 Platnum mounted to my Tacoma, I also have the Super Antennas SDC-120 screwdriver controller connected to my 706. It's an excellent setup, I run 600W P-E-P about 120W carrier on AM with no problems. High Sierra has a lot of different diverse mounts that you can buy, I don't know about Tarheel. But I can tell you if you go with an HS or a Tarheel you're making a good decision.
