not a hard radio to fix but I know a good source of parts and help. Check the battery.  gewingerd@netzero.net  tell him I sent you. Just bought a box of RA6830 parts for my next model.

I've had some E-mail communications with Gary in the past, was thinking about just sending him the receiver for repair and some upgrades but would rather do the repair myself if at all possible.
I'll check the battery first , didn't think of that, thanks!... unfortunately everything is packed up for my move down south... That will be one of the first things I attack once I arrive at the new QTH. I love that receiver!... needs a decent AM filter installed.
