...ANY ONE KNOW OF INFO AROUND,TO CONVERT AN OLD 'SCOPE TO A  PANADAPTOR?I WOULD LIKE TO USE THESE OLD HICKOK 195b ' SCOPES FOR SOMETHING...TIM...SK..

There was a project called "the Poor Man's Spectrum Analyzer" that used a ramp generator and varactor tuned TV tooners... might work for ya.  Was in ?73 Magazine? some years ago.

For starters, you might check this:
4 Channel Spectrum Analyzer, Ham radio Mag., Oct. 1972, page 6. I think this used a single channel scope as a base.

I've used the scope sweep ramp signal to tune a VCO. A CA3089 if strip was used for the log amp as the meter output circuiy has about of 40 dB of dynamic range,  I Suggest you save your money and time and invest in a HP141. You will end up much happier.
