Title: Honda pilot
Post by: WA1GFZ on July 20, 2005, 09:18:56 PM
is it me or does everyone who drives one is a bit crazy behind the wheel?
They seem to be competing for the first rollover.
It has to be the most ugly crap box on the road Hummer wanna be.

last time i was down at my buddy's tow yard one of the better "oopsies"
he had there was a honda pilot. it's female driver had tried to make an exit off the parkway from the left lane at 75 yakking on a cellphone.  the skid marks on the roof were most impressive.

Do you mean the Honda Element?  That's the ugly box car, similar to the ugly Scion boxcar...  The Honda Pilot is their large SUV, sorta like a Ford Explorer.  I generally like the style of the Honda's, but the Element gotta be one of the ugliest cars on the road -  looks like a Hummer wannabe...

As a poncho driver for many years I find the aztec a reason to convert to ford.

Hi Glen. Yep, I'm constant entertained by these sideways ball capped, slouched in the seat, sub woolfered, clown car pilots.

Hey K6JEK --

Do you listen to Click and Clack--the Tappet Brothers too?  I love listening to those guys!  They should be with Timmy on WBCQ, or in the 75 M AM window.  Good for lots o' $hits and giggles!

another otherwise nice Chevy laid to waste by the "tuners". what a shame. by the way George- i also greatly enjoyed that story about the import racer kiddies on the other site. had a few incidents much like that myself with neighborhood kids. my  "old skoo" ride is a '90 Chevy boxcar caprice copper car. a nice clean unmarked, still in full copper trim with doggie dish hubcaps, spotlight and big tall copper tires. a four bolt injected 350 vortec truck motor and factory 3:73's turned by a (chevy put nice things in inteceptors!)   corvette 700R4 get things moving.  it eats "five o" mustangs for a snack. kissing the rear bumper of a "sport compact" in a car twice the weight of the offending honda gets you a view of the whites in their bloodshot eyes in their rear veiw mirror- it's priceless! the kids around here don't want to try and race me anymore...

He he he.  The Caprice sounds like a lot of fun
I love getting alongside of these guys with my Chevelle at red lights. They usually won't even look at it.  :D

as the light goes green and the riceburner next to me is making all kinds of silly noise with it's 8000rpm coffee grinder i squeeze the throttle down just a bit and i'm gone. Count Basie is thumpin' the speakers and the AC is on. half way to the next light i see the riceburner back about 200 yards in the rear view mirror. a nice  politically incorrect sticker the factory put in the left rear door glass says it all: "PROUDLY MADE IN TEXAS, BY TEXANS".  most of the time they won't even look at me either, George. true sportsmanship, honor and respect are long gone from street racing.

Actually, a box-shaped vehicle makes for more efficient use of space than one with sloping, curved panels for the purpose of styling.  That thing would make a good hamfest vehicle.  Looks like you could haul a broadcast transmitter in it.

As aerodynamic as a brick. It needs one of those aluminum picnic table spoilers on the roof. For da downforce dawg.

You lost me with the Count Basie music.  :D
Have you seen "Pinp My Ride" Chris? Unlike shows such as  Overhaulin, and Americam Hot Rod, they build clown cars instead . It's really funny.

All your buddies would laugh at you if you showed up at a fester in one of those uglyassed things, Don.  I think a BC xmitter would put that thing on four flat tires.

Doesn't really fit in well with the hamfest ambiance of BO, mustard-stained T-shirts, and rusty/battered pickups.

I know.

Here is what I get:

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Maybe I should hook some brown crap feedline up to the Ethernet port.

Thursday night I was hanging out with the XYL and some idiot is blowing up and down the street in his baby fart exhaust special. I finally had enough and marched up the street and told the goat roper that if he was going to blast up and down the street please get a real car that didn't sound like a baby farting. his pals really dot off on that one and I bet they gave him plenty of crap.
Man did he get insulted when I called his rice box a baby farter. Then told me he could smoke me. I laughed and said "in your dreams" Almost wanted to pull the tarp off the old Firebird.
