Nice Job Dave,

I'll be looking forward to the pics and I like your position on Speech "Total energy under the curve is the same either side of Zero" Well done OM.

Nice Job.

Back in the early nineties, (when the AM bug first bit me), there used to be a fellow on 75M who ran a TS-440 on AM. His audio was so good, I inquired about which boatanchor he was using. When he told me, I was astonished. Simply put he ran his mic (I though it was a D-104 but not sure of processing in between), into the phone-patch input. There bypassing all the speech processing garbage & audio restriction devices. It sounded just as good as modified DX-100. Damn! I wish I could remember his call.

Hi Mike,

The fellow I remember was Kevin, WB4AIO of Alexandria, Virginia with his TS-440.  External audio patched in to balanced modulator.  Reverb also.

I worked him on 7295 kHz. AM, November 23, 1990.

P.S.  Didn't see you at the Kimberton hamfest.  Joe N3IBX, Ott, Joe W3GMS and Larry W3LW were there also.
