Title: This is Amateur Radio Post by: WA2SQQ on September 06, 2024, 08:31:46 AM Most of us have probably seen this ARRL film, but this version has many vintage ads added at the 3nd. I got my license in 1970. Doesn’t seem that long ago!

And in the 2nd part, at 16:24, the caption on the cover page of "Radio and Television News." — "Analogue Computors Solve Complex Problems." "Analogue" is interesting usage: with the gradual demise of the "ue" endings of many words, the word broke into two meanings—"analogue" referring to something "analogous," with the "analog" spelling reserved for technical applications . "Computor," on the other hand would appear to be just as bogus back then as it is now. And starting at 21:24, some excellent vintage footage starring the Hallicrafters HT-4B.
