Title: BC-610 tank coil info Post by: W9BHI on July 25, 2024, 11:48:13 AM I am looking for coil information on the C454 1.5 to 2.0 Mhz tank coil. I need to know the turns count on each side of the main tank and the turn count on the moveable link. I have a C-455 coil which is 1.0 to 1.5Mhz. I will be taking turns off of it to bring it up in frequency to match a C-454.
Thanks, Don W9BHI Title: Re: BC-610 tank coil info Post by: WB6NVH on July 25, 2024, 08:29:40 PM If I remember correctly, the original "full" set of BC-610 coils, which I once had several of in unused condition, did not have the 160 Meter range coil, it was a separate piece. This making them somewhat rare. I think there was also a fixed 50 pf vacuum capacitor that was needed with it.

I can't remember if the BC-610 used fixed coils or variable coils. I think either will fit thought. It is the "T" coil. The "H" style coil is too big!
Edit: I was thinking of a different rig I use with variable coils. It is indeed the fixed "TL" style coil!
