All the power supply models and manuals listed start with the model number "DM". You sure it's Alinco? How about a picture? It’s been working just fine until about a month ago. I suspect it’s either a problem with the regulator or the mammoth rectifier they use. I’ll post a photo later today

Also, the age is about right for the filter capacitors needing to be replaced. Might be some seepage already evident. The failure happened suddenly, where I'm seeing a voltage drop and a lot of "hum". I'm suspecting the bridge rectifier may have failed. I'd still like to get a schematic

You said, "PS-5500" when in reality it's an "EP-5500" Maybe you need to start your search over again. Power Supply was offered to the market around 1985.
You might also take a look at the Alinco DM-1350 power supply (it's only a 35 amp supply but design criteria might be very similar). Similar in style. It seems to me I remember Alinco going through some type of corporate change or restructure back in the 90's (or maybe I'm just dreaming) and they dropped a number of their older products. Older products also had the old Alinco logo. And it could be, that Alinco never generated any service related information (schematics) for customer distribution back then. You may have to generate your own actual drawing. Also, the LM723 is always suspect, if it has one.... This usually causes voltage to drop like a rock or soar but I have seen loose regulation cause hum, too. Easiest test is parallel a cap on the output. Hum goes away, you need more uF. The photo showed the actual model and my searches were done for the correct model. But thanks for your calling it out.
